The objective of the present investigation attends to the importance of determining the incidence of an improvement plan under the Theory of Improvement of the School Efficiency, in the results of the internal evaluation of the fifth grade in the area of mathematics in the three educational institutions object of study. For this, an applied research of mixed quasi-experimental longitudinal design without a control group was carried out, in which the improvement plan was constructed and the analysis of results before and after its application, seeking to answer the following question: how affects the results of the internal evaluation of mathematics in the fifth grade in the educational institutions Normal Superior of Medellín, Life for All of Medellin and Agricola The Unión of Belen of Bajira, an improvement plan based on the theory of Improving School Efficiency? As a conclusion of the study, it is highlighted that the application of an improvement plan under the current research improves school effectiveness, positively affects the results obtained in the internal evaluation of the three institutions, presenting progress in the evaluations obtained in the competences evaluated.
