Resumen

Descripción

This study aims to address the impact of constitutional and conventional jurisdictional decisions on the military and police criminal court (FPMP) in Colombia. Using a qualitative method to characterize legal stability and a theoretical, exploratory, and explanatory approach, the study explores the historical context surrounding the exceptional nature of this guarantee of special criminal treatment. The theoretical foundations and judicial precedents applicable to military jurisdiction are identified, and how constitutional and conventional provisions have been interpreted and applied are specified. Ultimately, it is concluded that these jurisdictions have a positive impact on the understanding and application of the FPMP, strengthen military criminal justice, and ensure its continuity within the legal system. © 2025 Escuela Militar de Cadetes.
