Abstract

This research work aims to identify and describe the effects of deterioration that occur in a specific building, describing what should be the control of the building as such, recommending an appropiate process for doing maintenance and doing a diagnosis of different impairments and damages, which are due to poor planning and conservation activities. That’s why it needs the design and implementation of a maintenance manual containing clear guidelines to control and extend the life of the building, based on the instruction manual Conservation and Maintenance of Schools of the Ministry of Education in Bogota Infrastructure Inspection of construction, which consists of a survey, conducted during the study of the physical aspects of the school.
