Resumen

This article analyzes the principle of immediacy and its application within the state contracting processes in the health area in Colombia during the pandemic period. Different aspects directly related to state contracting are examined, mentioning the existing problems related to the high levels of corruption present in this area. The work has qualitative and quantitative components, where the perception of health sector workers in Bogota regarding the corruption problems presented in state contracting during the pandemic is considered. For the collection of information, a survey was used directed to the workers previously mentioned, thus knowing the perception that they have regarding the problem of corruption in state contracting. The results obtained by the data collection instrument were tabulated and compared with figures issued by organizations that monitor transparency in the public sector, allowing to generate a comparative discussion based on the reality that occurred during the COVID - 19 pandemic. The main results showed high levels of corruption in the health sector in Bogota, based on the perceptions of the workers in this area. It is also observed that workers consider that the application of the principle of immediacy to the resolution of cases of this type will improve the levels of transparency of these entities.
