Resumen
In all urban projects, the demolition of structures is involved and always it is proposed that these should be done by trying to be friendlier with the environment. Analyzing the high costs associated with the final disposal of the debris, an alternative could be to reuse or to recycle those and from the Project Management, presents a study of economic feasibility regarding the reuse of the debris in the production of hydraulic concrete within the project. Using construction market prices for the first quarter of this year, 2012, there is an economic analysis of the most significant activities, and a comparison between the conventional method of demolition and final deposition, and the demolition procedure with the, processing or grinding of the rubble; and the reuse of the 70% of recovered materials in the production of hydraulic concrete. The analysis shows a lessening in costs in the production of concrete onsite equivalent to 9.39%, equal to $ 31.042.00 pesos/m3, see Table 11. From the above, it is concluded that the reuse of debris onsite is economically viable feasible and by studying the effectiveness of recycling, we can say that the greater affectivity of this recycling, will mean higher savings achieved, see Illustration 6 and Table 12. Finally, additional to the economic benefit obtained, environment benefits are also achieved by reducing the final disposal of m3 material, in waste dump areas and the reduction of the usage of nonrenewable resources (granular materials); and social benefits by increasing manpower and thus creating additional jobs and thus manpower.
