Resumen
The Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are funds traded in the same way that the shares in various financial markets around the world. Most seek to replicate a stock market index or another particular index. This investment vehicle is used for its low costs, allowing that people with little amounts of capital to invest in the stock market, benefit from the behavior of the asset and ensure a similar performance to their underlying asset. Thus, ETFs are an innovative product that provides diversification and depth necessary for the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA). The structuring of an ETF, which combines actions of different sectors of the economies that make up the MILA, gave outstanding results when comparing their performance with the benchmark IPSA, IGVL and IGBC. Performance was assessed in terms of profitability.
