| dc.description | The article focuses on eight essays about Marxisms, some of which are yet unpublished, written by Rafael Gutiérrez Girardot between 1970 and 1990. The contents of these materials are related to his critical reception of the philosophical thesis advocated by some Marxist intellectuals of the second postwar period and allow to trace the way in which Gutiérrez Girardot integrated the ideas of historical-dialectical materialism into his work as a Literary critic. © 2019 Universidad de Antioquia.
