Resumen
This work is the result of the activities performed in the Computers Center faculty of the Medellins University and the research required by the same institution for the MBA master degree, with the advice of Dr. Elvia María González Agudelo, the method used is hermeneutic, in order to make a formal proposal from the university network, linking companies and universities to strengthen the general skills training in information technology and communication technology (ICT) required in the labor market, this interest arises from the commitment of higher education institutions to train competitive professionals especially in technology.
To start, a comparison between the uses of technology companies in an environment of certainty vs. uncertainty was made, to identify staffing requirements with technological skills before and after. This comparison helped to identify over time the role that universities should take in the formation of these, as they are called to prepare professionals to meet the requirements of today's enterprise. A diagnosis applied to the Medellin’s University allowed: recognizing the ICT generic skills of students entering the undergraduate, identifying gaps in ICT generic skills in students who has graduated or are in business practices, identifying the requirements of general skills in ICT from companies for linking personal. A diagnosis was made as a result of a design proposal from the extension "enterprise productivity tools" that would meet the requirements identified in general skills in ICT, this was assessed through surveys aimed at practitioners and entrepreneurs and finally the conclusions and recommendations were made.
