The present research study allowed in the first instance to look within the historical context on the Communal Action Boards, the Public Policies, and the Quality of life. Towards the 1950s, after the second world war, being precursor the United States begins a process of recovery of countries at the political, economic, and social level[pc] likewise the birth of the United Nations Organization, In 1945, it is given to seek sustainable development, and later the public management allowed the articulation between the government and the communities to solve the existing needs of the population, a look from the world-wide to the local. In Colombia, with Law 743 of 2002, the Communal Action Boards acquire governmental recognition to search for a common interest and not a particular one, strengthening citizen participation. Through this research, with the leaders and community in general of the Municipality of Itagüí, were detected flaws presented in the Communal Action Boards and this made it possible to design a Public Policy for the Communal Action Boards of that Municipality, making it the main objective of this analysis, to ensure the well-being and quality of life of the Itagüiseños. This design sought the participation and integration of the government, the productive sector, and the community to carry out the projects and continue a permanent commitment in which the members and leaders of the JAC acquire the awareness of work with discipline, solidarity, and respect for the community to achieve sustainability in all aspects and be self-sustaining.
