Puerto de Urabá, una apuesta de funcionamiento y mejoramiento logístico

Abstract

Through this research, as would have been able to delineate the needs for future logistics operation and improvement of the existing port of Urabá. To achieve the same, there has been a diagnosis of the current state of the port, in terms of their load driving conditions, the current availability of land communication routes, as well as the state of the tunnels and bridges among others have into account. The methodology used in conducting the same investigation, has come from the identification of the different aspects that make this port, a unique alternative in Colombia in terms of their potential strategic, geopolitical and logistics. Through research, we found results that allow you to configure the system called "Puerto de Urabá" perfectly feasible as an alternative access to the Atlantic Ocean and into the Pacific Ocean through the dry port annex that has been proposed and carefully analyzed . Only the political will and unity of different efforts to make this an alternative that energizes the economy not only of neighboring departments, if not all of Colombia and the surrounding region.
