Resumen
The growing importance that markets and different economic actors have reached in the global political scene, suggest that we are facing a new paradigm with respect to the operation of the nation state. The concept of Geoeconomic, emerge as a answer to the changes that had been happened since the second half of the XX century, At the same time, it illustrates how through the design of strategies of economic control can be achieved dominance and power worldwide on international relations issues, either through the State directly or under its influence or welcomed by large economic groups. Indeed, this research approached from the Geoeconomic perspective the progressive colonization undertaken by the Colombian financial system, and more of the Grupo Bancolombia, on a number of strategic financial assets in Central America. Similarly, he explains how this phenomenon has has led to substantial changes in the dynamics of international relations of Colombia with its neighbors, which in turn created the conditions for legitimacy to a number of private actors could even be able to mold to some extent the domestic and foreign policy, as has happened in some recent episodes.
