Resumen
In this investigation we approach the understanding of the fraction concept in attention to its different uses as mathematical object. Due to the low results that have obtained for this topic in different national tests. for which we approach this investigation is the theory of the Modes of Thought, the Anna Sierpinska (2000) in order to guide the design of activities for students of the 4th grade of elementary school with that in benefit of the understanding for the fractions and, in turn, to provide tasks for the design of a didactic unit that favors the acquisition of knowledge and the characterizacion between the three Thinking Modes.

En esta investigación abordamos la comprensión del concepto fracción en atención a sus diferentes usos como objeto matemático. Debido a los bajos resultados que se han obtenido para este tópico en diferentes pruebas nacionales. El marco teórico utilizado en esta investigación es la teoría de Los Modos de Pensamiento de Anna Sierpinska (2000), con el fin de dar elementos en el diseño de actividades para estudiantes del grado 4° de primaria, y con esto beneficiar la comprensión de las fracciones y, a su vez, proveer de tareas para el diseño de una unidad didáctica que favorezca la adquisición de conocimientos y la caracterización entre los tres Modos de Pensamiento.
