Resumen
The purpose of this research was to describe the perspectives on the school climate of students and teachers in the 11th grade at Santa Gema Secondary School, with the purpose of proposing strategies that allow contributing to the improvement of the school climate within the educational establishment in order to contribute to improving academic performance and consequently the quality of education within them. The research methodology used was quantitative and descriptive. 100% of the teachers and students in grades 11A and 11B were taken into account for the research; the survey was used as a data collection strategy. Among the main results it can be stated that while the majority of the students consider that in the school there is respect and tolerance for the difference, the total of the teachers disagree with it; likewise the total of the students agree that they like to attend their Institution. Training in Citizen Competencies for teachers, students and representatives of the Educational Community can contribute greatly to the improvement of the school climate.
