Resumen

This research is based on the need for the second grade students of the Rosalía Suárez Educational Institution, in the municipality of Medellín, Antioquia, to give meaning to what they write and read, so it was decided to implement a proposal of grammar routines to help them to achieve it. Objective. The aim was to strengthen linguistic competence in students of the second degree, through the exercise of finite syntactic categories. Materials and methods. The research had a qualitative approach, which used the case study, in the systematization of experiences mode, to collect the information. Results. It was possible to demonstrate that the stimulation in the class classroom of the finite syntactic categories is an enriching work that favors the acquisition of Spanish in written form propitiating that children build successful daily communicative situations which strengthens linguistic competence. Conclusions. It is important to be clear about the strengths and opportunities for specific improvement of students, because when a child has difficulties in achievement, it is necessary to involve in the solution to the family, as long as a precise and accessible horizon is set. Also, if it is about helping children understand their environment in written form, it must be meaningful to them.
