Análisis y evaluación financiera del sistema policultivo de bocachico y tilapia roja en los departamentos del Atlántico y Magdalena

Abstract

This research text performs a financial valuation of the project Sistema Policultivo Bocachico – Tilapia Roja (Bocachico – Red Tilapia Poly-Farming System). The reason to perform the research is that at the time when the first prototype of Poly-Farming was done, the financial aspects were not considered; besides, during the study process we learned about elements that could improve the financial and economic analysis of the project. With the study, the fish farmers and investors will have appropriate and qualified tools not only to know and study the cost of the technical montage of the poly-harvest, notions on fish farming, and culture of species, but also, especially, to know, through the use of the research methodology of projects evaluation, the most convenient sources for financing, the potential of the business, a sustained marketing study and the generation of value represented by the economic effort. And last, to distinguish the accurate contribution generated by the project in the matter of local and regional development by contribution with the generation of employment, wellness, and to satisfy certain social needs. It was possible to determine that the installation production and marketing of Bocachico and Tilapia Roja by the Sistema Policultivo is feasible, since it considerably improves the production profit per area unit, and it takes better advantage of the available resources. The analysis detected that there is a large potential of demand and market, an efficient use of the financial, technical, administrative, legal, human, physical, and infrastructure resources according to the needs of the projects; and with a financial evaluation that shows that the Poly-Farming System is feasible, profitable, and the investment for its development is justifiable.
