"The work entitled, ""Differentiated prison treatment for women heads of family incarcerated in the prison of El Pedregal (COPED), Medellín, Antioquia, obeys to the present socio-legal investigation, which is carried out with women heads of families convicted of crimes of traffic, manufacture or carrying of narcotics associated with micro-trafficking that serve their sentence in the penitentiary and prison complex el Pedregal (COPED) of Medellín. This study is limited temporarily to the last semester of 2017 and first of 2018. For methodological purposes, the research line is a legal partner because it aims to determine a focus group among women convicted of this crime during the second semester of 2017 and the first semester of 2018 in the penitentiary and prison complex- COPED- Medellín and its characterization, therefore, the study approaches the qualitative or ethnographic research approach with case study, because it allows, from the qualitative point of view, an approach to the research phenomenon where the participants, in the case of the inmates, narrate their own life stories, while officials and experts on the subject, from the legal and administrative law, express their perceptions on the problem."
