Impactos sociales y económicos de la hidroeléctrica en Ituango

Abstract

The hydroelectric Ituango is Colombia's largest power generation project and has an enormous importance for the villages are located in the area of influence of this work. Ituango is a municipality located in the far north of the Department of Antioquia, has special characteristics and which has considerably changed their way of life by the arrival of the hydroelectric project, considering the magnitude of the work, the arrival of more people to the area and the socioeconomic change that arises from this situation. There are two very significant actors converge around the construction of the Project EPM son and the community of the municipality of Ituango. The opportunity arrived to this territory, has made it possible to find different impacts, both negative and positive, for society and the economy. In this way will be EPM commissioned to combat the negative impacts of the project and the community who can take advantage the positive impacts at social and economic level to search for the progress and development of the village.
