Problemáticas jurídico-ambientales generadas en el marco de la construcción de la Central Hidroeléctrica Ituango (Departamento de Antioquia)

Abstract

The purpose of this research focuses on the evaluation of the major legal and environmental issues that arise in connection with the construction of the project Hydroelectric Pescadero-Ituango in Antioquia. Firstly, a delimitation of the National legal framework in terms of environmental and social aspects of the hydroelectric project was outlined. This data permits to understand the economic implications in the areas of influence where the dam will be build. Furthermore,, various regulatory agencies in Colombia and their respective roles are identified.; Finally, implications of non-compliance by the constructors related with legal and environmental requirements for the construction of the Hydroelectric project Pescadero-Ituango are analyzed.
