Academic dropout has been a headache for college and university authorities either private or public sector. It is true, academic dropout is a variable that affects educational management. It has been studied from different points of view and by diverse segments of higher education, but drop-out factors have not been really connected to high management. However, throughout years, educational institutes have tried to face this issue nationally and internationally, and have found different types of dropout: social, economic, personal and academic drop-out causes, among others. This problem has reached drop-out rates higher than 50% in student population. It is now appropriate to clarify that this article intends to deepen management and academic topics facing the issue of dropout, It can be helpful to the education system to rely on a management tool in order to attack this problem. at higher educational level. The authors of this research address academic dropout not only seen from academic an academic point of view, but also from permanence of students in higher education, management, and administrative tools that help to counteract academic dropout.
