We present a literature review on some approaches in social and environmental sciences that allow us to understand the household water and energy consumers logic, and how to project them towards sustainable consumption. To do this, we did a complex search in scientific databases greatest impact. Our main contribution is to propose the need to consider consumption without moral or normative judgments, understanding it as a complex social practice that questions the individualized perspective. © 2017.
