Liability for defective products has acquired an essential role today, to the extent that within Colombian Law, the importance of the relations between consumers and the natural or legal persons behind the construction and sale of buildings has begun to be assessed so that they assume the damages that affect the real estate they market and that end up negatively impacting the health or assets of their customers. owners or residents. It is for this reason, that this research article seeks to analyze, on the one hand, the main rights that arise to the consumer who acquires and uses real estate in his daily actions and, on the other, aims to address elements that are nece, gastassary for the attribution of responsibility to the different actors that build and sell these buildings. Additionally, a recent court case is analyzed in which the Supreme Court of Justice examined the liability for defective properties in favor of several consumers who were affected by multiple damages in their apartments. © (2024), (Corporacion Universitaria Lasallista).
