Knowledge Management at the Politecnico Jaime Isaza Cadavid, has been framed in a model that allows its development not only educated but advances in the knowledge era, seeking to generate added value through their players in this case (employees administrative and faculty), but this would not be possible without the identification of a number of components that allow for a certain way re-direct the strategy and its rationale, in order to be competitive nationally and internationally. Being an educational institution as part of the concept of knowledge, but it has not really structured or defined this goal. The flaws can be detected and give them a solution through several aspects: Organizational Learning, Competitive Intelligence, Intelligence, Business Intellectual Capital, E-Commerce, Creating value chains, State University Enterprise, Innovation and, through them has been identified a model that contributes to the management of a new era: the Politecnico in the Knowledge. This model, which allows to identify a current situation, then propose a strategy of knowledge supported by a structure that supports all the result of the organization. The main factors which depend on the model for its functioning are: Culture (Organization Profile) and Actors (learning capability), identified as inputs to the model. The technological tools but are not evident in the model are means by which they can withstand this and be able to maintain and make strategic decisions for the new wave of which were facing society. It is not a fashion is a lifestyle that allows realize what has never been taken into account and which often slows the growth of an organization or institution indifferent to his character: KNOWLEDGE.
