Abstract

This document is a descriptive study which explores three different possibilities for the final design of the architectural envelope of the Instituto Neurológico de Antioquia (INDEA). The development of the study responses of a three fundamental parameters in architectural design: The beauty, as an answer of the iconic character that buildings with institutional use always seeks; The function, referring to weather conditions, interior space needs and interaction in varying degrees of environmental variables; And the technique, answering constructive and technological issues. It shows an analytical methods to achieve responses in each dimension and the subsequent links established are the starting point for choosing an aesthetic, functional and technically viable design to develop it in detail.
