Resumen
The research was developed with the aim of analyzing the influence of leadership style in the work environment of the Educational Institution Barrio Santa Cruz -Ciudad de Medellín, from the perception of teachers, in order to identify opportunities for improvement. The focus of the study was mixed, descriptive; the methodology consisted in the generation and analysis of data from a Likert questionnaire to measure attitude scales and the validation of the survey information through qualitative data obtained through interviews. The results showed a trend towards two styles of leadership: democratic and transformational, which favorably affect the work environment of the Institution. However, the findings also expose contradictions or tensions that may account for the coexistence of diversity of perceptions about climate within the same work environment.
