Resumen
During the last five years, the per capita consumption of pork meat in Colombia has been around 3 kg person/year. To this digit we have to add the production of pork produced by the economy of farmers, whose main purpose is the consumption and distribution in a local level, in faraway regions of the country or with less development. However, it is important to stand out the great potencial of expansion that still has our sector since the average consumption of pork meat worldwide is of 16 kg person/year. This evaluation of financial feasibility reflects the viability to invest in this productive sector as an alternative in the establishment and production of pork. Additionally, is important to highlight that the global economic crisis was evidenced as one of the factors that can be presented in the pork industry. The technical data of the present study showed that of the 252 female of the pig farm, you obtain 7106 pigs to sale every year. To achieve this economic solvency and maintain the farm good performance, you need an initial investment of $ 3.302.786.700. The marketing research determined that the main product that is pretended to bring out in the market consists in pigs with an approximate weight of 105 kg and 150 days old. The commercial price of the farm for the marketing of the pigs will begin in $4500 a kg and it will increase every year based on inflation.
