The aim of the research was to analyze international cooperation for food security in Southwest and Antioquia East, through the revision of the FAO-Government of Antioquia, its components Convention and its activities, in order to visualize the international cooperation at the local level. Qualitative and quantitative descriptive study with secondary and primary sources (interviews). Managers and FAO MANA, delegating convention coordinators delivery of information, authorized the investigation. The investigator went to the offices of Medellin for collection. Once the data released proceeded to draw up the tables for the two subregions studied, analyze the information and present it in graphs and tables, complemented by semistructured interviews of key players in the agreement. Results: international cooperation agreement for food security has been implemented satisfactorily developed in accordance with the commitments components: family farming venture partnerships 16 farms were organized; 7,000 opportunities orchards were established through training and advisory processes for making it, 10,972 visits and 1,483 workshops. For component of food supply plan were able to identify livestock and food items according to local supply and demand. Institutional strengthening motivated local authorities, families and other institutions and used different media to report progress 1,800 people. It is concluded that international cooperation helps improve food security in Antioquia.
