Resumen
The present article inquires about the role of the school mediator; it seeks to know how the mediator deals with the different situations of coexistence in the classroom contrasted with the training received from the School Environment Protector Program and the way it is perceived by the different actors in the classroom. To this end, focus groups are addressed with school mediators, student representatives and teachers who are group directors; a questionnaire is designed to give structure to the open group interview, creating a pleasant atmosphere for conversation and discussion, from personal and group experience, about the role of the school mediator. Applying the category of analysis to glimpse the results of the investigation, an improvement plan is established that allows the student population to become aware of the importance and functions of the school mediator, qualifying the mediation processes that allow to establish protocols and routes of attention to situations of school coexistence.
