This research work presents as a purpose to comprehensively analyze the ways of addressing within the school curriculum the diversity and how they promote school coexistence in the sixth grade students of the Ciudadela Nuevo Occidente Educational Institution. For the development of the study, we start from a comprehensive and integral point of view of the curriculum as a social, cultural and historical construction, which hold several levels of concreteness with the possibility to be analyzed from the formal, developed and evaluated. The research process was carried out from a qualitative paradigm, appealing to the case study and with a social constructivist world perspective. For this purpose,some information gathering methodswere used such as participant observation, documentary review and semi-structured interview. From the findings analysis three themes were developed: Diversity in the curriculum, Dynamics of school coexistence and encounter and school opening, directly related to the ways in which it is presented respectively. From them, important aspects are visualized that are processed in the school context of the study for the coexistence from the diversity and some reflections are proposed.
