Resumen
The main object of this research project was to identify the changes on the “particle dynamics” learning process, due to the implementation of a novelty proposal based on new technologies. In the process, two groups of engineering students of Mechanical Physics were evaluated, and they were denominated through of the investigation as the control group and the experimental group. In the control group, the teaching activities were developed through traditional methods (masterly exposition), by a detailed and well prepared exposition of all contents associated with this topic. In the experimental group the activities were developed by using a proposal which promotes the active learning of physics which is based on the use of a “Virtual Interactive Learning Environment” called “Introduction to the Dynamics", which was specifically designed for this process. Differences between the academic behaviour of the two groups were statistically evaluated. To develop the comparisons, well known Newtonian physics diagnostics tools, were applied at the first of the process (pre-test); and at the end of the process (post-test), and it allowed systematically measure the differences in the learning process. Good results were found with the proposed strategy, which can be useful to improve the comprehension levels of the basic phenomena of physics.
