Este trabajo de Consultoría analiza las tendencias del consumo a nivel global enfocado en la entrega de productos desde los centros de distribución, almacenes o dark storage hacia el consumidor final. La entrega de productos bajo las características requeridas por el consumidor final se sugiere hacerse por medio del modelo de logística de distribución llamado, entrega de última milla, un modelo que se detalla ampliamente en el desarrollo de este trabajo de grado y que es la idea central para responder la pregunta, Requiere Microsoft un modelo de solución de última milla como un componente que complemente el ERP Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations?, ya que se aquí donde nace el propósito de desarrollo de la consultoría. Se recomienda a Microsoft Corporation, adoptar un modelo de última milla embebido en los Módulos del ERP Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations y generar una mayor ventaja competitiva y comparativa no solo frente a sus competidores directos en Software de ERP, sino también frente a las Compañías desarrolladoras de Software de última milla, para ofrecer un producto para las Compañías de distribución de mercancía hacia el consumidor final que cumpla con las expectativas y requerimientos que solicita la Cadena de abastecimiento en la última milla.
This consulting project analyzes global consumer trends, focusing on the delivery of products from distribution centers, warehouses, or dark storage to the end consumer. It is suggested that products be delivered with the characteristics required by the end consumer through the distribution logistics model known as last-mile delivery. This model is extensively detailed in this thesis and is the central idea for answering the question, "Does Microsoft require a last-mile solution model as a component to complement the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations ERP?" This is where the purpose of this consulting project stems from. Microsoft Corporation is recommended to adopt a last-mile model embedded in the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ERP Modules and generate a greater competitive and comparative advantage not only against its direct competitors in ERP Software, but also against the Last-mile Software development companies, to offer a product for companies that distribute merchandise to the end consumer that meets the expectations and requirements requested by the Last-mile Supply Chain.
