Reading is vital in the daily life of individuals, both for the social uses that this entails, and for being the vehicle through which scientific and cultural knowledge is acquired from the personal construction that the individual weaves from experiences, interests and purposes that he/she establishes in its life project; In this sense, the role of the teacher in school is to make accompaniments mediated by a set of decisions for teaching, tending towards the formation of habits that promote and encourage the culture of knowledge where learning-learning is the guiding principle, which it is achieved with the implementation of new forms of access to knowledge. Consequently, educational institutions must implement teaching strategies that allow the development of reading competence in their students, so that they can be inserted in a society that needs more and more, individuals who understand, analyze, reflect and infer around the information and the knowledge that originates day by day.
